Gran Sasso Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC
Gran Sasso Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC
White | 2023 | Italy, Abruzzo | 11.5%
Fantastic example of lively, zesty Trebbiano. This wine is straw yellow in colour with a clean, intense perfume of fresh yellow plums and medlar, along with floral aromas of orange blossom. Nicely balanced on the palate, it is lively, with peachy fruit and a citrus twist on the finish.

Production Notes
Upon arrival to the winery, the grapes were gently crushed and destemmed. The wine was then pressed prior to fermentation which took place in stainless steel tanks at 2°C in order to preserve the character of the fruit. The wine was then fined and filtered prior to bottling.

Producer Information
The Gran Sasso wines are part of the Fantini group, which was founded in 1994 by Valentino Sciotti with the aim of producing top-quality wine from Abruzzo. These wines are made by winemakers Rino Santeusanio and Francesco De Santis, with input from acclaimed consultant Alberto Antonini. Together, they create wines with a freshness and vivacity that sets them apart from many in this area.
The team work closely with their growers to produce a deep-coloured, clean and plummy young Montepulciano.
