Ruby red in colour with purplish hues. Its nose offers pleasant, intense fruity aromas of cherries and floral notes of violets that merge with notes of vanilla and coffee. On the palate it is supple and mouth filling with a fruity aftertaste.

Production Notes
Production Notes
Each grape variety was fermented separately. After the grapes were destemmed and gently crushed, maceration on the skins took place in stainless steel vats over a period of approximately one week. During this phase, the wine completed alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature that did not exceed 25°C (77 °F). Malolactic fermentation was completed by the end of Autumn and the wine was aged for about 4 months.

The Antinori family released their first wine under the Santa Cristina name in 1946. Since then Santa Cristina has been a byword for quality and value in Tuscany – now more so than ever since the creation of a dedicated winery in 2006. The range now consists of reds and a rosé from Tuscany and whites from Umbria, so the winery’s location in Cortona, southern Tuscany, is ideal.
